Friendship card

Hello stampers!  This is a card I made for a very very dear friend of mine.  She is retiring from work next week and I wanted to make a special card for her.  I have used Coffee Birgitta from C.C. Designs love this stamps.  I have colored her with my prisma colored pencils and gamsol OMS.  The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart Punch that I covered with stikles and added some gems.  I popped up the main image and just glued the center of the butterflies to give them dimension.

I made the inside to match the layout of the front of the card.  The sentiment says "forever and ever".
I am going to enter this card into the paper shelter challenge which was to Bling it on.

That's it for this card.  I have started working on another which I am water coloring using my new distress markers I just got in the mail today.  And I must say I am in LOVE with them, and i have only colored the skin so far. lol.   Thanks for stopping by:)

Happy Birthday!

Well Today is my Daughters 13th Birthday!  I can't believe she's a teenager, Ahhhhh!!  Actually she's a very sweet girl!  This is the card I made for her using the cupcake Birgitta and the spring bench stamps from C.C. Designs.  This is the first time I have tried any of the C.C. Design stamps and I love them, can't wait to get more.  I colored them with my copic markers and added a little bit of stikles to her wings, the butterfly, and the cherry on the cupcake.  My daughters favorite color is bright green and she love polka dots so this paper from SU was perfect for her card.
Here is a close-up of the image.  I love how her hair turned out.  I would love to hear what you think!

I am going to enter this in the following challenges:

The Sweet Stop--sketch
7 kids college fund--make it cute
Anything goes--things with wings

Stamping 411 #254

Hello Everyone,

This is a card I made using the Stamping 411 sketch.  I made this for friend of mine who's grand-daughter is graduating this year.  All items used are from Stampin' up.  The stamp set is called Elements of Style.  I water colored this image with my stampin' write markers and a water tank brush. CS is pacific point and whisper white.  The embossing folder is called Vintage wallpaper.  The ribbon is the 5/8" Organza ribbon colored with my pacific point marker.  I made the flower using the blossom bouquet triple layer punch and a glitter brad.

Now I need to get some retirement cards done and I'm having trouble coming up with an idea for them.  I hope everyone had a good weekend, now its time to get back to work.  I am starting to count down the days until summer break, I can't wait!!!!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by:)

7KCF challenge

Hello Everyone,

Wow it has been a busy month for us!  Seems like I have no time to get down to my stamping room, very sad I know.  Well I finally made sometime tonight to get a card made.  I used Apple blossom by Elizabeth bell for this card.  Isn't she  a cutie.  I colored with my Copic markers and added a little bit of glitter to the ruffles on her dress and the butterfly.  This is a tri-fold card.   I am entering this card into the 7 kids college fund challenge which is to use punches and dies.  I just noticed that I put the strip of yellow on backwards.  What do you think, should I take it off and turn it around or leave it?

Here is a view from the side showing the tri-fold.  I kept the inside pretty simple.

Here is a close up of the image.  I will post the copic colors used below.  I guess I'd better get some laundry done and get to bed.  Thanks for stopping by:))

Happy Birthday

Good Evening,  I can't believe its already Sunday night.  The weekends always fly by so fast.  This is a card I made for a good friend.  I used a stamp I just got last week, I believe she is called Alva with flower.  This is the first Alva stamp I have purchased and wish there was more.  I love this one.  I have colored her with copics and prisma colored pencils.  I usually color the image first and then pick out my papers but this time I picked the papers first and then colored.  I really enjoyed coloring this one.
Here is a close up of the image.  I used piece of paper I cut out in cloud shapes and a sponge with bashful blue ink to make the clouds.

Here are the colors I used:

Skin- E13, 21, 00, 000, 0000, henna pencil
Hair- E57, 53, 51, 50, espresso pencil

Bows and Bling

I'm back with another Easter Card, this one I did for the Simply Magnolia Challenge which was to use bows and bling. I am aslo entering this into the Totally Tilda Challenge, which is to use die cuts and punches.  This sweet little Tilda is called Tilda and her bunny and she is from the Butterfly Dreams collection.  Are you as excited as I am to see whats going to be in the new Magnolia collection, I can't wait.  I colored her with my copics (of corse)  and I even attempted to create some grass for her to sit in, what do you think?  I added glitter to the bow in her hat, the edges of the flower, and around the greeting.  I had a bit of trouble with the bow, at first I tried to tie a bow with 2 ribbons but it made to much of a distraction so I decided to just go with a simple bow.  I used the new labels framelit dies from SU for the image and the greeting I used some oval punches.  I also used a leaf punch and ran them thru the crimper for the leafs on the flower.

Here is a close up of the image I colored and a side view showing a bit of what I did on the inside.  Well I hope you like what you see, Thanks for stopping by.  Have a fabulous week! :)
